Following Simon’s directions hearing yesterday at the Royal Courts of Justice we remained with his wife Stephanie for a time before getting to where we stayed overnight which had limited internet access. For those reasons we have been unable to post an update earlier.
Obviously there are a great many supporters who are keen to be kept up to date but since yesterdays hearing was procedural there really isn’t much to be said. As Simon’s brother Shaun has already posted in the comments area and as per the local newspapers the actual appeal could happen in June but thankfully it very much seemed that the court does not want it dragging on too much longer.
Simon looked well despite over 7 years of ordeal as noted by some of the many who attended, many of whom have supported him from the early days of his nightmare.
We look forward to the appeal not only so that Simon can have this wrongful conviction overturned but also so that further investigations into finding the actual perpetrator can begin so that Mrs Albert and her family can get the justice they deserved in the first place.
Thanks for your continued and very much appreciated support.
