PUBLIC VOTE ON JUDICIAL ISSUES BY

WRONGLY ACCUSED PERSON

One of the long term aims of wrongly accused person is to effect change in areas of the justice system to reduce the possibility of innocent people being targetted and wrongly prosecuted. For these changes to happen, it is vital that public opinion is demonstrated in the various areas which at present make wrongful convictions more likely and ultimately result in many guilty people walking free.

At present the opinion polls only take place within the site's forum pages by registered members to help ensure that the results can be in no dispute or open to suggestions that people are voting more than once on any given issue. Scripting is underway to allow non-forum members to cast their votes also while still maintaining the same level of precautions and should be available soon. In the meantime, I would encourage all site visitors to review the topics being addressed below and make their voices heard by registering on the forum to do so. Even if you do not wish to take part in any discussions your vote is still valuable. Thank you.

Do you think persons responsible of misconduct should be held responsible regardless of the outcome of any court case?

I firmly believe that securing the acquittal of a wrongly accused person or overturning the verdict of a wrongly convicted on in no way can be considered justice having been served in many cases. Where misconduct has occurred, someone walking free does not eradicate the pain and suffering inflicted upon them and their families as a result, for them the damage will last a lifetime while if the perpetrators of such misconduct are not held to account remain capable of inflicting the same torment on others in future. With regard to wrongly accused people, this misconduct will be seen only as grounds for appeal should they be acquitted but not grounds for action to be taken against those responsible. Since anyone who has behaved in anyway other than proper are unlikely to be reprimanded as a result, there is nothing to dissuade them from doing so again in future. Do you know of any other area in society where those who do not follow specific rules and guidelines are not disciplined for their actions?
I have therefore decided to post not only another opinion poll, but use the same thread to post details of where you can send formal complaints against anyone you know has not acted in accordance with the responsibilities their positions determine they should. Taking action against such a person is the only way to ensure that they at least are held to account and possibly will result in measures being taken against them which would prevent someone else from suffering in future.
As with the case of child interviews being video recorded, if nothing untoward goes on within the justice system, why would anyone fear disciplinary action regardless of how successful or otherwise their attempts to influence justice were?
